Our Speech and Language Therapy Assistant post is four and a half days a week and will be based at Walton Hospital in Chesterfield with the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy team. The post will cover the Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire area, the High Peak and Dales area and the Amber Valley area. We offer a comprehensive and supportive new starter package. Feel free to contact us and have a look around if you would like to know more Main duties of the job Assist the SLT in providing a clinical service (assessment and treatment) to a SLT caseload Carry out programmes of therapy under the supervision of the SLT Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records in line with RCSLT professional and Trust standards. Participate in training in area of clinical experience Demonstrates duties to new starters and less experienced SLTAs, and other support staff. Understand the rationale behind therapy tasks and activities set by the SLT based on basic theory of speech language development/breakdown. Develop a working knowledge of relevant procedures including safeguarding for children and adults. About us The Purpose and Activities of DCHS?
