Our new Data Analyst will join us on a Full Time, Permanent basis, working a contract of 35 hours per week (Hybrid working) earning a salary of £45,000 per annum. About DEBRA We are a national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. The Role As our Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in consolidating, analysing, and visualising our data to drive better strategic and operational decisions. You will work across multiple departments, ensuring that our data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to inform business intelligence. Key Responsibilities Transform disparate datasets into structured, meaningful insights that inform decision-making at all levels. Develop Power BI dashboards and other visualisation tools to present data in an accessible, engaging way. Collaborate with teams across the charity (Retail, Fundraising, Operations, IT, etc.) to understand their data needs and build appropriate reporting solutions. Clean, structure, and maintain data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Conduct advanced data analysis, including trend analysis, forecasting, and segmentation. Support the adoption of data-driven decision-making, providing training and guidance to teams on data interpretation and best practices. Identify opportunities to improve data collection, integration, and automation across systems. Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to ensure data security, GDPR compliance, and governance. Essential Skills & Experience Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including advanced dashboard creation, complex data modelling, with experience of M and DAX calculations to deliver high-performance reports and analytics. Proven experience in optimising Power BI solutions for large and complex datasets. Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and Power Query. Experience working with large and complex datasets. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills – able to explain complex data to non-technical audiences. Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. Ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions. Proficiency in SQL (writing queries, data extraction, and manipulation). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to complete multiple tasks with multiple deadlines. A proactive, self-starter mindset, with the ability to work independently. Desirable Skills & Experience Knowledge of charity CRM systems (e.g., Access CRM, EPOS, Seller Dynamics, Microsoft Dynamics) and charity sector data challenges. Understanding of charity sector KPIs (fundraising metrics, retail performance, supporter engagement). Experience with Pythonfor data analysis. Experience in Large-Scale Data Implementation – Not just small projects, but company-wide Power BI deployments. Experience with Role-Based Security in Power BI - for managing access at an enterprise level. Demonstrable experience in advanced Power BI development, data modelling, and DAX, with a portfolio of past work (will be required). Qualifications (one or more of the following) Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) A Degree or MSc in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (or substantial equivalent experience in a data-focused role).
