Job Description
Are you a talented and ambitious Commercial Manager looking to work on exciting infrastructure projects that can change the world? We are looking for experienced Commercial Managers to support our exciting growth plans, working with our key infrastructure clients, particularly in the rail sector in the Northwest and Midlands.
As a Commercial Manager within our Buildings & Places Infrastructure team, you will provide a comprehensive, accurate and value-driven service for large, high-profile key clients within the rail sector. The role will cover all aspects of commercial management throughout the whole project lifecycle from initial inception/business case through to completion/commissioning.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
* Deliver all aspects of commercial management from inception of a project through to completion.
* Achieve the highest standards of professional competence in all dealings with clients and professional contacts.
* Drive performance standards and technical excellence through effective communication.
* Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, increasing the profile of the firm.
* Support the internal team and manage junior staff on technically complex projects.
* Develop marketing opportunities and assist in following up potential leads for new business.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Experience and strong track record in Cost and Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying.
* Experience of undertaking cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation teams.
* Experience of working within a client organization, directly or through a colocation/secondment arrangement.
* Experience of working in the rail sector is preferred.
* Ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders and build effective relationships.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
* Accredited to MRICS (or equivalent) or working towards it.
