Compensation Financial Controller - Director (AVP)
Glasgow
The Compensation Controller team is led globally from Glasgow and is part of Global Corporate Controllers. The function is responsible for financial accounting, control, and reporting, both internal and external, related to the firm's compensation and benefit plans globally.
The team is responsible for front to back accounting, control and reporting of compensation and benefits for the firm. As a result, team members perform a variety of functions within their roles, offering a breadth of experience for the right candidate. For example:
What will you be doing?
1. Manage the accounting, reporting and analysis for certain aspects of the Firm's global employee compensation.
2. Close collaboration with accounting policy on interpretation and implementation of new accounting rules or accounting analysis of new compensation arrangements.
3. Maintain a strong control environment.
4. Involvement in firm and financier-wide initiatives as an SME with accountability for assessing, planning and delivering all compensation & benefit related accounting and reporting impact.
5. Analyse large datasets to provide information and insights across a range of global stakeholder groups.
6. Deliver continuous improvement through automation and process enhancement.
7. Participate in firmwide or departmental projects.
8. Undertake production, reviewer and line management responsibilities.
Qualifications:
What we're looking for:
1. Professional Accountancy Qualification, or equivalent specialisation in Finance.
2. Experience in finance processes, controls and reporting.
3. Flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves.
4. Strong communication skills; clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery.
5. Experience with establishing and meeting deadlines.
6. Experience managing staff and/or reviewing the work of others.
7. Risk awareness and good guardianship skills.
8. Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic that works effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Working in a collaborative growing team in the Glasgow Finance division on a 3/2 hybrid model.
