The Breast Screening Unit is looking for a friendly, energetic, committed, and flexible person to join our team in this full or part-time post.
Your duties will be to support the clinical aspect of our service, assisting the clinicians and chaperoning in our busy breast clinics. The unit provides an efficient and effective service, with imaging facilities to support the breast symptomatic service and breast screening service.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be confident in using several computer systems, well organized, methodical, and possess excellent interpersonal skills. This is a demanding but rewarding role and would ideally suit someone who has worked previously on a ward or in a clinical environment.
Full training will be given.
There will be some clerical duties including working on the reception.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications & Training
* Education to 'O' Level/GCSE standard to include English Language.
* Healthcare qualification NVQ level or willingness to undertake.
* NVQ Level 2 in healthcare or imaging and/or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Experience of working in a team.
* Experience of working face to face with the general public in a very busy environment.
* Previous experience of working with patients in a caring environment.
* Experience of assisting sterile procedures.
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
* Sympathetic and caring attitude.
* Keyboard skills for input and updating patient data.
* Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
* Over 18 years of age (Ionising Radiation Regulations).
Special Circumstances
* Ability to travel to other sites.

£24,071 to £25,674 a year per annum pro rata.
