About your team The WI Protected Benefits Team perform Protected Tax-Free Cash (PTFC) calculations and are responsible for processing of Guaranteed Minimum Pension (GMP) / Reference Scheme Test (RST) cases to support the GPS Retirement journey. The role is key to providing uncompromising service to our clients and members. About your role The ability to question internal processes and encourage improvement Process and verify PTFC, GMP and RST cases with a high level of accuracy and consistency Support complex pensions administration rework and potentially rectification activity Carry out case reviews to identify errors and perform case corrections Ensure all allocated work is processed in a timely manner avoiding exposure to unnecessary risks in market movements when dealing with financial transactions Adherence to team Key Performance Indicators including quality, productivity, error rates, and contribution above business as usual (BAU) objectives To have a flexible approach with regard to types of tasks to be completed and queries to respond to To have engagement with non-BAU activities such as mailbox management and process change delivery Ability to organise the day to day planning of workload for yourself and for the wider team as required - a dynamic and proactive approach is expected with individuals having consideration for the overall team objectives To support other team members with queries in the absence of managers Potentially to support management on MI and projects as required About you You should be an enthusiastic, engaged and driven individual, who has a desire to achieve outcomes at a team level. You should be inquisitive and questioning, with a desire to learn, whilst also being able to operate with logic and practicality. You will demonstrate or have: Minimum of 3 years pensions administration experience Defined Contributions knowledge essential, Defined Benefits knowledge desirable Knowledge of Pension Simplification Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail Knowledge of Protected Tax-Free Cash principles desirable Being a self-starter, demonstrating good use of initiative and the ability to work under pressure Being flexible and adaptable, responding rapidly to changing agendas. Able to re-prioritise and organise effectively, at an individual and team level Communication – effective written and verbal skills Decision making ability – problem solving and solution orientated The ability to question internal processes and encourage improvement.
