Job Description
Step Teachers are working with a vibrant and active Primary School in Enfield to find a reliable, dedicated and friendly Assistant Site Manager to join their team full-time starting in February 2025. This school prides itself on maintaining a clean and safe educational atmosphere that allows children to thrive in their learning. A successful candidate would report directly to the Site Manager, and would need to be available for 36-40 hours per week, including school holidays.
Assistant Site Supervisor - Role:
* Managing and undertaking planned and reactive site duties to support all school maintenance needs and health and safety requirements.
* Using tools and equipment for general maintenance work that is required, appropriate to skills and qualifications.
* Liaising with contractors carrying out work on site as directed by the Premises Manager.
* Maintaining and managing a schedule of work to ensure that the site is kept operational. Prioritising work as appropriate.
* Carrying out security checks and procedures for the school buildings and grounds, including setting intruder alarms and ensuring boundaries are secure and that all gates and doors are locked when required.
Assistant Site Supervisor - Requirements:
* Proven ability to communicate competently and effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to work flexibly, under pressure and to tight deadlines in line with the needs of the business.
* Experience of undertaking general tasks e.g., basic maintenance, painting etc.
* Experience of working within Health and Safety requirements and knowledge and experience of safe working practices.
* Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Supervisor, or in a comparable role, in a school setting is ideal.
