Job Description
Linton Lodge Oxford, part of the Best Western Signature Collection, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Reception Supervisor to lead our front desk team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused and organised individual to contribute to the exceptional guest experience at our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee Front Desk Operations: Supervise the reception team, ensuring compliance with Front Office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including quality assurance (QA) standards. Manage check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries efficiently.
* Customer Care: Deliver exceptional guest service by handling requests, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Foster strong relationships with regular guests, the local community, and other departments.
* Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and guide the reception team, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and align with the hotel's goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations and support staff development.
* Administrative Support: Complete all front desk administrative tasks, including billing accuracy, managing cash handling procedures, and maintaining comprehensive handovers between shifts. Ensure proper record-keeping and adherence to hotel policies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Reservations, to ensure seamless service delivery and a cohesive guest experience. Coordinate with the Deputy General Manager on sales and marketing initiatives.
* Sales Support: Promote hotel services and amenities to enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to upselling efforts. Identify potential sales leads and support the achievement of sales targets, including the BW Reward programme.
* Legal and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire procedures. Participate in and oversee regular training for the front office team, maintaining high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness.
Requirements:
* 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role within hotel reception or a related customer service field.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a passion for guest service.
* Proficiency in hotel property management systems.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* A commitment to delivering high standards of service and contributing to the hotel’s success.
