Responsibilities
Our Dock Workers are responsible for but not limited to:
* Consolidate, build pallets, shrink wrap, and load products using a Stand-Up Forklift.
* Utilize an RF Gun to scan products.
* Meet productivity standards.
* Look up part numbers, quantities, product locations, and customer information on the computer, as appropriate.
* Receive orders through supervisor from prepared and prioritized work tags.
* Pull orders from inventory, manually and/or utilizing a forklift.
* Prepare materials for delivery to and/or pick up by customers. Pack materials in boxes or on pallets (as appropriate), and label accordingly.
* Check filled orders prior to delivery or pick up to ensure accuracy and timeliness of order.
* Maintain cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the work group.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify.
* High school diploma/GED or equivalent education required. Two or Four-Year college degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.
* Warehouse, plumbing, retail/customer service, and forklift experience is also desirable, but not required.
* Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
* Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
* Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
* Ability to recognize and read location, date, and product codes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic knowledge and proper use of the English language, including reading, writing, and oral communications.
* Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
* Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
* Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
* Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Physical Requirements:
* The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
* Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
* Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environmental Conditions:
* The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
* Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
* The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
