This are some main Responsibilities for this role:
10. To plan, develop and deliver high quality Science lessons using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning.
11. To monitor student progress, keeping student records that include assessment outcomes and targets set at regular intervals in line with Academy policy, to enable all students to achieve their full potential.
12. Contribute to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare and personal care of children and young people with regard to the Every Child Matters agenda and Area
Child Protection Procedures.
13. Any other reasonable tasks requested by the Headteacher.
To get cleared as a Science Teacher you will need the following Requirements:
14. 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including Science, English, and Maths.
15. An Undergraduate Education degree or a degree in a science subject, such as biology, physics or chemistry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
16. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is usually included as part of a PGCE course.
17. In-school teaching experience, gained through your Teacher training.
18. You must also pass an enhanced background check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
