My client, a top tier financial services institution, is looking to hire a corporate/capital markets lawyer into their London legal team. The role is likely to encompass a broad range of Global Advisory work, including but not limited to: - reviewing/commenting on/negotiating Global Advisory engagement letters, terms of business, confidentiality agreements, accountants’ engagement letters, release letters and fairness opinion letters both in the UK and in support of certain other overseas offices, - reviewing/commenting on/negotiating capital markets transaction documentation including underwriting/placing agreements, block trade agreements, indemnity letters, announcements and other related documents - advising and assisting on an ad hoc basis in relation to Global Advisory transaction related issues, including participation in Fairness Opinion and Due Diligence Committees and responding to ad hoc transaction related enquiries; - providing legal support in connection with ad hoc projects as required, including projects related to legal and regulatory change; - providing legal advice to other group functions and to other lawyers in the department as required The successful candidate will have: - Experience of capital markets and M&A transaction advisory work, either in private practice or existing in-house role at an investment bank; - Excellent written skills; - Excellent inter-personal skills (ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels (both internally and externally); - Ability to build effective relationships, including as a member of a small team; - First class organisational skills, good attention to detail and accuracy are essential; - Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines; - Willingness to take on a diverse workload and to adapt to and embrace new challenge If this role sounds of interest, then please send your CV to miriam.warburtoneximius.com for further information.
