Job summary An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive and dynamic band 5 Registered Nurse to work within our Imaging department. There is rotation for the imaging nurse through the Radiology CT and Radiology Daycase Unit at our Royal Stoke and County sites. Within the Imaging Department we are increasingly striving to improve patient pathways by increasing day case procedures and we are very proud of our Radiology Day case unit. There is an expectation for the successful candidate to provide a nurse led service performing venepuncture, cannulation and assist the radiologist with imaging guided procedures. The successful candidate will work closely to provide a holistic approach for patients by working closely with other allied health professionals such as Radiologists and radiographers and nursing assistants. Main duties of the job We are currently seeking a proactive and dynamic band 5 Registered Nurse to work within our Imaging department across both sites of UHNM. Our unit consists of a 9 bedded Radiology Day Case Unit, 3 Interventional Radiology Theatres (2 Vascular and 1Vascular/ Neuro), CT and Ultrasound at our Royal Stoke base and CT, Ultrasound and 1 Interventional Radiology suite at County. Operational hours are as followed; Radiology Day Case Unit: Early 7:30-15:30 Mid 9:00-17:00 Late 14:00-22:00 Interventional Radiology 09:00-17:00.
