Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), the Group Finance Director (GFD) is a senior member of the Finance Leadership Team with key deliverables being to ensure the integrity of the recorded and reported financial results of Biocair, and to lead, manage and develop a global team of Finance Managers and specialists covering Financial Accounting, Controlling and Finance Operations.
Biocair Finance is evolving through a period of transformation and change towards a Target Organisation and eventual stable state. The Group Finance Director is a key player in this transformation journey.
Responsibilities will include:
* Financial Accounting & Controlling - leading a team of Regional Financial Controllers.
* Finance Operations - leading a team of Global Finance Operations Managers covering Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Payroll.
* Leadership & Management - supporting the CFO and Finance Leadership Team to create a high-performance culture across Biocair Finance.
* External Stakeholder Management - actively reviewing performance of Service providers to the Finance function, ensuring the appropriate quality, speed and value-for-money of services received, and replacing suppliers who do not meet required standards. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key Shareholder Finance interfaces, colleagues, and peers in broader Group affiliates.

In addition, you will demonstrate the following experience, knowledge and skills:
* Professional Finance/Accounting qualification.
* Experience working in multinational organisations with knowledge and awareness of cultural differences.
* Proven people leadership and management skills, including managing through managers, managing geographically remote teams, and managing service providers.
* Demonstrable track record of delivering positive, sustainable change and transformation.
* Knowledge of local/international Tax & transfer pricing and/or experience in Corporate structuring is highly desirable.
* Language skills relevant for the Biocair footprint (French, German, Chinese, Flemish) would be advantageous.
* Experience within the Logistics and/or Life Science industries is desirable.

Please note this is a full time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30 with flexibility on working hours and pattern being an option. The role is offered as hybrid based from our Cambridge office (CB22 3EG) with up to 2 days per week working from home.
