My Client is currently recruiting a Mobile Engineer based in the Cambridge Area to assist the Engineering Team in delivering a customer-focused, cost-effective, and efficient Maintenance Service.
This includes Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance, and other Estates Services as required to meet contractual and legal obligations.
The Person:
The person should have excellent communication skills along with first-class customer service skills to complement a practical skill set that will provide full building services support to the site. A can-do attitude and a commitment to CPD are essential.
Key Skills Required:
1. Recognised C&G or NVQ Qualifications
2. An extensive knowledge of building services
3. Knowledge of building control systems
4. Plumbing and mechanical maintenance skills
5. An understanding of BMS control
6. Experience of AHU maintenance
7. Electrical breakdown experience
8. Planned Preventative Maintenance experience in building services
9. Fully computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
10. Experience on computer-based maintenance systems
11. Extensive health and safety knowledge
12. Experience of control of contractors
13. If possible, HV switching knowledge and permits
Key Objectives of the Role:
1. Work independently and as part of a team carrying out routine PPM and minor repair works.
2. Carry out skilled planned maintenance, repair, and improvements.
3. Install new plant and equipment when required.
4. Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.
5. Be proactive in reporting faults to equipment, buildings, and fittings.
6. Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices, and Method Statements, ensuring relevant paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
7. Maintain stock control systems as directed.
8. Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
9. Work safely, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, customers, and visitors.
10. Act as a Competent Person as directed and appointed.
