I am delighted to bring to market this unique opportunity for a Quality and Health & Safety Manager based in Cwmbran. You will hold an up-to-date IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification paired with a proven track record of implementing procedures in line with Quality and Health & Safety.
As Quality and Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for compliance and delivery of Quality and Health and Safety across the entire site.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director you will drive continuous improvement and the overall Quality and Health and Safety culture.
Duties and responsibilities
• You will lead and maintain compliance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and legislation across the site.
• You will be pivotal in the management of Health and Safety, Environment and Quality across a site with multiple functions, RAMS, RIDDOR, Toolbox, LOLER PUWER Talks etc.
• Responsible for the attainment and compliance of relevant Quality and Health and Safety accreditations such as ISO 9001 etc
• Completing and documenting internal risk assessments
• Responsible for accident and incident investigations and causes
• Carry out internal Health and Safety and Quality internal audits and action any identified outstanding points.
• Responsible for maintaining and delivering the companies Quality Management system.
• Understanding customer specific needs and requirements to develop effective quality control
• Liaise with customers on any quality related issues
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues to achieve the objectives set out in your role
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and introduce new policies and procedures where required.
Skills, experience and Qualifications required
• NEBOSH or IOSH Qualification essential
• Up to date knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 and 14001 standards
• WAMITAB / COTC desirable
• Familiarity with COSHH and hazard management
• Conscientious and a keen eye for detail
• Excellent presentation skills
• Customer facing experience
