Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Nurse to join a friendly and professional team at a day nursery in Harlow. If you’re passionate about early childhood development and enjoy making a positive impact on young children's lives, we’d love to hear from you!
As a Nursery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5. You’ll help foster their learning and development, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness at all times.
2. Support children’s development by planning and leading age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and independence.
3. Work with the nursery team to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, helping children develop in all key areas.
4. Observe and document children’s progress, helping to tailor learning experiences to meet their individual needs.
5. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, creating an open, supportive, and inclusive nursery environment.
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment, following health and safety and safeguarding guidelines.
7. Promote positive behavior through guidance and support, encouraging social skills, cooperation, and respect for others.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience in a nursery or childcare setting, with a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
2. A passion for early years education and an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. A warm, friendly, and patient approach to working with children, with the ability to create a fun and positive environment.
4. Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and the wider team.
5. A proactive, adaptable attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of safeguarding and the ability to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
