HGV Driver C E Purpose: To deliver vehicles nationally and provide 5–star customer service. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Driver C E: Safely operate HGV Car Transporter at all times for long or short-haul deliveries Inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and performing preventative checks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, checking for mechanical issues. Load and unload vehicles as needed, ensuring safe handling and meticulous care of securing of vehicles. Handle basic truck maintenance issues and report major problems to management. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or suppliers Communicate effectively with Transport Manager, customers, and team members. Adhere to delivery schedules and route assignments. Reporting Issues – Report any vehicle faults, damages, or incidents on Tablet or Vehicle Inspection report IF tablet not working. Vehicle Inspections – Conduct pre- and post-delivery checks, ensuring vehicles are in top condition before handing them over. Accurate Documentation – Complete relevant paperwork, including delivery confirmations and vehicle condition reports. Customer Interaction – Provide a friendly and professional handover, explaining key vehicle features and answering customer questions. Qualifications Requirements as a HGV Driver C E: Valid HGV Licence: Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C). Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – up to date. Digital Tachograph Card. Experience: Preferably 1 year, but newly qualified drivers may be considered. Good understanding of UK road networks and HGV safety regulations. Ability to work independently and handle long hours on the road Physically fit for loading/unloading. Good communication and customer service skills. Adhere to UK traffic laws, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directive (WTD). Follow UK road laws, transport regulations, and company policies.
