About the role
A permanent position has become available in the Superintendent's Pharmacist's Office, working predominately to support the management of pharmacy incidents and complaints, and getting involved in other administrative tasks to support the rest of the SPO team. We are looking for someone who is Pharmacy Advisor trained as a minimum who will look to use their practical skills and knowledge in a central role.
This role will be a good opportunity for anyone looking to try a Support Office role and gain insights into the SPO team, but also build relationships with other colleagues within the Pharmacy function.
The Clinical Governance Assistant will report into the Clinical Governance Specialist and will be part of the Quality and Governance team within the SPO.
Responsibilities
* This role is involved in reviewing the Pharmacy Incident Reporting and Event System (PIERS) to identify urgent pharmacy complaints and incidents and highlighting them to the relevant central SPO team/field team members.
* They are the first point of contact and responsible for day-to-day administration for the Copy approval team within SPO.
* Support the central SPO team with administrative tasks, such as maintaining field contact lists, outgoing mail, filing, archiving and telephone calls.
* Create distribution lists of stores to support issuing printed documents produced by the SPO team.
* Attend the pharmacy planning meeting on behalf of the SPO team and support the coordination of activity planning for SPO.
What you'll need to have
* Pharmacy qualification, such as Pharmacy Advisor (preferential) or be prepared to work towards this qualification at the request of the business.
* Good governance and operational knowledge of walk-in dispensing, Care Services and Medisure (DDS) (or be prepared to develop this knowledge).
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Must have a good command of the English language, grammar, spelling with articulate communication skills (both written and verbal) and a high concern for order and quality.
* Must be able to work to tight deadlines, prioritise effectively and deliver on time, every time.
