The role:
We're looking for a dedicated Recruitment & Onboarding Co-ordinator to join our HR team and play a key role in supporting our recruitment efforts. The key responsibilities are sourcing suitable candidates on online platforms, issuing contracts, and onboarding new employees whilst working closely with department leaders to understand staffing needs and ensure a seamless hiring process.
You will be required to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm. This is a full-time role based at our headquarters in Kendal.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Talent Searching: To seek right-fit candidates on platforms such as LinkedIn.
2. Recruitment Administration: To prepare and issue offer letters and contracts of employment and maintain accurate records.
3. Co-ordinate the Full Recruitment Cycle: From advertising job vacancies and screening applications to scheduling interviews and onboarding new employees.
4. Partner with Hiring Managers: Work closely with department leaders to understand staffing needs and ensure a seamless hiring process.
5. Talent Screening: Review applications, conduct initial screenings, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
6. Candidate Experience: Ensure candidates have a positive experience by providing timely feedback, clear communication, and support throughout the hiring process.
7. Local Recruitment Campaigns: Assist in organising and managing recruitment campaigns, talent pipelines, and outreach efforts to attract top talent locally and regionally.
8. Support New Starters: Help facilitate the onboarding process, including scheduling inductions, and ensuring new team members feel welcomed and supported from day one.
9. Manage the company’s sponsorship license, and ensure compliance with the Right to Work for new employees.
What you’ll need:
* Minimum 2 years recruitment sourcing and HR experience (agency or in-house) and in manufacturing.
* Minimum 2 years experience working in HR with a focus on UK employment law.
* Experience of high-volume recruitment in manufacturing.
* Knowledge of employment contracts and the onboarding process, in an HR environment.
* A flexible, proactive, and hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of a task or project and see through to completion.
* The ability to complete work with accuracy with attention to detail.
* Be driven and able to multi-task under pressure.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confident on the phone and proficient in Microsoft Office.
* A positive, can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills that help you connect and build trust.
