My client is a highly respected M&E Design & Build Company based in Dartford, operating for over 40 years and employing around 40 staff directly.
As a business, they handle everything from design and installation to commissioning and maintenance for a vast portfolio of clients, including police stations, courts, office fit-outs, factories, and more.
Due to growth, they are seeking an Intermediate or Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join the team.
THE JOB – Intermediate or Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor
Monday – Friday
8am – 5pm
Reporting to the Commercial Director or Commercial Manager, the M&E Quantity Surveyor’s duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Formulation and conveyance of monthly works applications and the management of the process required to achieve the required client sign-off on these applications.
2. Monitoring, recording, and substantiating contract variations, reporting, and agreeing these with clients.
3. Requesting and receiving instructions for changes.
4. Co-ordination and approval of supply chain contract variations.
5. Resolution of client and supply chain final accounts within Limits of Authority.
6. Working closely with project teams to record, manage, and analyse project costs.
7. Preparation of key weekly and monthly high-level financial reporting, including summarising trading positions and liabilities.
8. Commercial and contractual support for clients and project teams.
9. Procurement activities, primarily including the preparation of formal supply chain agreements.
10. Providing an interface with the operations and accounts departments in monitoring costs, revenues, and overheads.
The Quantity Surveyor shall also assist in the Estimating Department with monitoring process schedules and preparing tenders for submission as directed by the Commercial Director, Commercial Manager, or Estimating Manager.
