The Job
We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in driving our pricing strategy by analysing market trends, competitive pricing, and customer demand to ensure we remain competitive in the market while optimising revenue. You’ll work closely with the revenue management, marketing, and finance teams to develop and execute pricing strategies for both domestic and international routes.
What you will be doing
1. Price Optimisation: Analyse competitor pricing and customer demand patterns to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue while maintaining competitiveness.
2. Revenue Forecasting: Use data analytics to forecast pricing trends and market conditions, making recommendations for adjustments to meet financial goals.
3. Market Analysis: Conduct detailed research on customer segments, market dynamics, and pricing performance across different regions and routes.
4. Pricing Tools: Manage and optimize pricing tools and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in pricing updates and changes.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the revenue management and marketing teams to align pricing strategies with overall business goals, promotions, and sales campaigns.
6. Reporting: Provide regular reporting on pricing performance, profitability, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological innovations, and best practices in pricing and revenue management.
What you will need to do this role
A degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field is required for this position along with at least 2 years’ experience in pricing analysis, revenue management, or a related field (preferably in the airline or travel industry).
Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of pricing dynamics, demand forecasting, and competitive analysis and proficiency in Excel and pricing and data analysis tools such as R, Python, SQL & Tableau.
