Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patrons and staff at our venue. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, and effectively managing any incidents that may arise. The Door Supervisor will play a crucial role in loss prevention and the overall safety of the establishment.
Duties
1. Monitor entry and exit points to ensure the safety and security of all individuals on the premises.
2. Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats or breaches.
3. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
4. Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring that all health and safety protocols are followed.
5. Manage crowd control effectively, ensuring that patrons behave responsibly and in accordance with venue policies.
6. Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies.
7. Prepare detailed incident reports for any occurrences requiring documentation or follow-up actions.
8. Maintain a visible presence at the venue to deter anti-social behaviour and reassure patrons.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in a security role is preferred, particularly as a Door Supervisor or similar position.
2. Strong understanding of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques.
3. Knowledge of loss prevention methods and strategies.
4. First Aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
6. Strong observational skills with attention to detail, capable of identifying potential risks or issues swiftly.
7. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflict situations professionally.
8. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the venue's schedule.
