Our client is a well-established manufacturing company that is seeking a Facilities Technician to be responsible for day-to-day building maintenance, and health and safety tasks ensuring the site is maintained in excellent condition.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the execution of all planned preventative maintenance, including the production and storage areas and facilities within it
You will be able to communicate with all levels of the organization providing professional support, service, and guidance in delivering a fully functioning, environmentally friendly workplace
Oversee sub-contractors whilst on site at (examples but not limited to gardeners, plumbers, AC engineers)
Facilities building compliance planned maintenance — Weekly fire alarm, monthly evac chair, monthly escape packs, monthly emergency lighting, monthly extinguisher checks
First response and assessment of building issues reported (examples but not limited to toilets, lights, doors, flooring, and furniture)
Liaise with utility companies on visits and inspections for meter readings and periodic inspections
Pre-preparation of equipment for statutory examinations for pressure, and safety equipment completed by relevant safety consultants
Completion of reactive works
The Candidate:
Facilities maintenance experience ideally within an industrial or manufacturing company
Ability to perform some facilities reactive duties
Ability to oversee sub-contractors on site
Health and safety compliance experience
Uk driving license and access to own vehicle
The Package:
Offering up to £30,000 plus a competitive benefits package
