Applications are invited for a Health Care Support Worker band to join the sleep service at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The Health Care Support Worker will form part of a specialised multidisciplinary team providing expert assessment and treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnoea within BCULHB East. They will act as a source of support to the sleep team in the in the management of this group of patients.
The post holder will provide support to the nurse led and medical outpatient clinics, support patients following initiation of CPAP, .
The post hold will be required to have the ability to use computer systems for data entry, WPAS, checking of patient’s records, emailing, preparing clinics and correspondence.
Main duties of the job
To assist registered nurses deliver the sleep service to patients/clients, within BCU East working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.
Deliver patient care as documented in the patient management plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.
