Walk For A Cure is an event for everyone impacted by dementia. A cure is within our grasp, together we can make it happen. In supporting this event, volunteers will be creating a platform through which friends & family can gather, share and make a lasting difference to dementia for future generations.
What you will be doing
Specifically, at this event, your role could be:
* Greeter - welcoming walkers to the event village, generating a positive atmosphere, and helping to bring a warm personality to the day's event.
* Route and/or Start/Finish Marshal - guiding walkers along the route, ensuring safety of walkers at crossings and junctions. Or supporting the start and handing out water and medals at the finish.
* Event Village - helping with arrival and registration, handing out lanyards, t-shirts, and supporting event village activities, e.g. assisting with public engagement stalls/stands.
