As PVC for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, you will be leading an exciting, multi-disciplinary faculty, which is structured around ten academic schools and three Research Institutes. The HaSS Faculty is home to around 13,000 students, which span the full range of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines, including Newcastle University Business School and is made up of a community of 900 academic, and 275 professional services and technical colleagues.
You will have a strong academic track record and proven leadership experience. You will also have a deep commitment to team-working and to building inclusive cultures as well as delivering a future-focused vision for Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, you will possess experience of academic leadership and mentoring of academic and professional services colleagues and will have demonstrable experience of collaborating with external stakeholders along with a commitment to advocacy for the social and economic value of a research-intensive university in regional, national and global contexts.
