We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Upstream Advanced Process Control (APC) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining advanced process control strategies to optimize upstream oil and gas production processes. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and Implement APC Strategies: Design and implement advanced process control strategies to enhance the efficiency and performance of upstream production processes. • Process Optimization: Monitor and optimize process parameters to improve production rates, reduce operational costs, and ensure product quality. • Data Analysis: Analyze process data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models. • Collaboration: Work closely with process engineers, operations teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of APC solutions into existing systems. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to process control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability. • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of APC strategies, implementation procedures, and performance metrics. • Training and Support: Provide training and support to operations personnel on the use and benefits of APC systems. Who we are looking for: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field. • Extensive experience in advanced process control within the upstream oil and gas industry. • Proficiency in process control software (e.g., DCS, PLC, SCADA), programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB), and data analysis tools. • Strong understanding of upstream production processes, control theory, and optimization techniques. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Versatility, ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
