Site Manager (Civils/Utilities/Highways) Salary: £49,000 - £56,000 DOE plus Car Allowance & Benefits The Casey Group Greater Manchester (Sites in Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester) Full-time, Permanent We are currently recruiting for a Site Manager, based within our Land Reclamation division (Civils, Highways, Utilities, Infrastructure etc.) to assume overall responsibility for all on-site construction activities. Who are we looking for? We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with an NVQ Level 5 in Civil Engineering to support the Contract/Project Manager and oversee all site operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, able to supervise staff, subcontractors, and suppliers while ensuring the timely, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of projects. You will manage resources, facilities, and communication across teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations. You will maintain and update health & safety plans, prioritise site safety, and participate in incident investigations. Strong planning and commercial awareness are essential, as youll monitor progress, coordinate resources, and track performance to meet production targets and project profitability. Previous experience within one or more of these would be highly advantageous: civil engineering, stone restoration, sheeting piling, highways and/or wastewater. The role of a Site Manager at The Casey Group General Management & Delivery Support the Contracts/Projects Manager with pre-construction planning. Oversee site operations to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective project delivery through effective and efficient adherence to the programme of work. Supervise and motivate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers. Manage site facilities, resources, and communication across all teams. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement and maintain high levels of client satisfaction. Order materials and plant. Health & Safety Maintain and update Health & Safety plans, risk assessments, and training records. Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. Prioritise site safety for personnel, visitors, and the public. Participate in incident investigations and promote best practices. Planning & Commercial Awareness Monitor project progress and report against the programme of works. Implement control measures to track performance and maintain records. Coordinate staff, subcontractors, and suppliers for efficient resource use. Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or budget. Assist in managing financial aspects to maximise project profitability. Who are The Casey Group?
