About the Company - Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer based in Aberdeen for a 12 month Fixed Term Staff role based in our Clients Offices. Willingness to travel offshore and to onshore terminal in Morecambe Bay as required. About the Role - Provide day to day discipline engineering expertise to the asset's operations organization (including shutdowns) ensuring continued safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations. Use process engineering principles to optimize production. Bring engineering rigour and good practice to fault finding and incident investigation. Act as independent evaluator of Process Engineering changes and risks to ensure safe and effective delivery. Provides Process Engineering support to and assurance of the delivery of capital projects and minor modifications under the Management of Change Procedures. Provides Process Engineering support for process plant performance, identify areas for improvement, undertake trials and studies and suggesting the most economic option for future advances, for eHub assets. Responsibilities - Responsibility for maintaining as-built process models and asset-critical process documentation. Responsibility for asset Heat & Mass Balances and key equipment capacity details. Responsibility for the integrity of the SECE barriers owned by Process discipline (overpressure protection, depressurization, blanket, and purge gas & hazardous open drains systems). Responsibility for key process documents, such as PFD's and P&ID's, and support to other discipline key documents such as C&E's. Ownership of AMS and MyHSES process study actions with focus on review and close out of the actions. Participate in asset HAZOP, PHR, LOPA and risk assessments, including active participation in the management of change (MoC) process. Close out of any actions raised at such risk review sessions. Lead investigations into production shortfalls vs target including the organization and facilitation of root cause analysis sessions, incorporating various disciplines. Provide process engineering input to other discipline scopes - brownfield, maintenance & capital. Provides Process Engineering support to and assurance of the delivery of capital projects and minor modifications under the Management of Change Procedures. Provides Process Engineering support for process plant performance, identify areas for improvement, undertake trials and studies and suggesting the most economic option for future advances, for Morecambe Hub assets. Qualifications - Experience of providing day to day process engineering support to front-line operation of a major offshore production or onshore processing facility. Significant and extensive knowledge of Process and Major Accident Hazard (MAH) prevention technical practices and legislation, which would be underpinned by technical achievements in process engineering discipline in the energy or chemical industry. Demonstrable experience of operations within complex Oil/Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical plant. Knowledge of all forms of engineering documentation, including block diagrams, PFDs, P&IDs Data Sheets, Cause & Effect charts, and safety critical elements. Deep and extensive knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and applicable regulations both statutory and company specific. Experience of successfully closing out actions generated in HAZOP, LOPA, PHR sessions. Willingness to travel offshore and to onshore terminal in Morecambe Bay. MI ChemE and CEng.
