Are you a Senior Project Management (Infrastructure) professional looking to work on projects that make a difference and enhance the world around us? If so, we are looking to attract the finest talent to be part of this journey as we mobilise for several key opportunities across a broad portfolio, delivering for clients in Energy, Water, Rail, Aviation, Highways.
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager (Infrastructure) to join our Yorkshire, North West and North East infrastructure teams to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects, both nationally and locally. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.
Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Project Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be expected to work with an Associate or Director to successfully manage, coordinate and deliver projects and/or to work independently leading a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. This role involves providing both client-side project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from initial inception, through the design and procurement process and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase, and AECOM led commissions.
Here's what you'll do:
* Lead Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful delivery.
* Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices.
* Ensure commissions are managed and completed efficiently, on time and to the client's satisfaction.
* Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements.
* Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
* Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients. Be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing).
* Ensure all team members reporting to you have current and relevant training.
* Manage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards.
* Provide full Project Management duties to AECOM clients.

Here's what we're looking for:
* A relevant degree such as in project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, or relevant subject. Alternatively, relevant experience in industry would be considered acceptable for exceptional candidates.
* Professionally Qualified - ideally Chartered Project Manager Status with the APM, RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
* Experience in the built environment as client-side Project Manager (Energy, Aviation, Water, Rail and/or NEC Project management experience preferred, but not essential).
* Experience of working within a client organisation, either directly or through a co-location/secondment arrangement.
* Practitioner of NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
* At least 6 years of proven experience providing the full spectrum of PM services including chairing meetings, minuting and proactively engaging in discussions, developing the PEP, progress reports, procurement strategies and tender documentation.
* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management with NEC-accreditation highly desirable.
* A project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2 would be desirable.
* A member of a related professional body preferably chartered (APM, CIOB) would be desirable.
* You may be required to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.
* Possess experience of preparing bid submissions and managing multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
* Experience of managing project finances.
* Prior line-management experience.
