- Day-to-day management of the inpatients at the PICU, Meadow Unit, Warneford Hospital. This will include contribution to ward rounds (including typing contemporaneous clinical notes into the electronic patient records), CPA review and discharge planning meetings, and Mental Health Act Tribunals. Liaison with the Community Mental Health teams (CAMHS) to ensure coordinated clinical care of patients. - Providing timely written correspondence to relevant professionals documenting assessments, ongoing management, progress, and discharge summaries using Trust IT and clinical records system training will be provided where needed. - Work collaboratively with other agencies, in particular liaison with staff from other teams to manage smooth and timely transfer into and out of the unit. The teams most commonly involved with this will be the GAUs Team, Hospital at Home and Day-Patient Teams, CAMHS Crisis and OSCA, Early Intervention Psychosis (EIS) and Local Authority/Social Services Teams - Active commitment to delivering the Trusts clinical governance agenda. Meadow Unit will lead its own governance agenda including audit, quality, patient experience, learning from incidents, patient safety initiatives and interrogation of data. The senior leadership team comprising of Consultant, matron, clinical psychologist and ward manager will link with CAMHS management both in identifying areas of concern and feeding back actions, as well as area of excellence. - Contribution to developing and delivering improved clinical services as outlined in the National Service Framework for Mental Health and in the CAMHS Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit Service Specifications. - The post holder will be expected to contribute to the collection of data as required by the Trust and other relevant agencies. This includes the timely recording of clinical activity data, and participation in clinical audit with appropriate administrative support.
