We have an opportunity for 2 experienced administrators to join Sunderland GP Alliance Family Practices, full-time ( hours per week) and part-time ( hours per week)

Main duties of the job
We receive a great deal of information into the practice each day and throughout the day. This comes by a variety of routes, both electronic and paper-based. The correct handling of this information is vital to ensure safe patient care and the efficient running of the practice. The information needs processing accurately to make the correct use of it and this job involves responsibility for handling this information efficiently, safely and diligently and is of the highest importance.
Electronic patient information is handled within the clinical system (EMIS Web). We also use NHS Mail email service. Laboratory test results are received directly into the workflow and filed into the patient record in EMIS such as new diagnoses or important test results requires entering into the database for GP use.
As part of the QOF/IT Team, you will beresponsible for managing, overseeing and auditing all data within the clinical system.

Sunderland GP Alliance is a not-for-profit collaboration of GP practices in Sunderland.
All GP Practices in Sunderland are members of the organisation, covering approximately 285,000 patients.
The Alliance also runs three practices in Washington, South Hylton and New Silksworth.

Qualifications
Essential
1. GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
2. Trained and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications.

3. Trained in the requirements of GDPR.

5. Full, valid driving licence and use of own car.

6. Proven experience of working in an office environment and demonstrable experience of administrative work.

10. Familiarity with EMIS Web clinical software.
11. Previous experience with medical terminology, clinical coding, particularly Read Codes and summarising records.
