Role overview:
Randstad is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join a leading newly formed, high-performing decarbonisation team, working on social housing contracts in partnership with councils and housing associations through a leading construction company in property services.

Key Responsibilities:
7. Manage subcontractor processes
8. Attend office CVR reviews
9. Conduct valuation reviews
10. Participate in monthly project meetings with clients
11. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for social housing construction projects.
12. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and identify potential cost variations.
13. Carry out responsive, planned maintenance and voids.
14. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
15. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
16. Provide financial advice and guidance to project teams to optimise cost efficiency.
17. Support tendering processes and evaluate potential contractors.
Experience Required:
18. Minimum of 5 years of experience
19. Background in retrofit or planned works
20. social housing experience preferred
21. Experience in EWI (External Wall Insulation), IWI (Internal Wall Insulation), and roof installations
22. Relevant qualifications (e.g., RICS accreditation); open to non-degree candidates with 10-15 year's experience
23. Proficiency in Excel and cost management software
24. Strong knowledge of measurement, valuation, cost management, and procurement processes
25. A commitment to quality, sustainability, and social housing
Additional Information:
26. Flexible working: 1-2 days from home after probation
27. Projects based around the M25
28. Split between office and site work
29. Work with the Pre-construction team alongside an AQS and QS within a team of 8
