BUILDING CONTROL MANAGER
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Wyre Council at a time when building safety is at the forefront of legislative change and authorities are structuring their services to deliver maximum community reassurance. This permanent role will appeal to senior building control professionals ready to take a step up into management and also existing building control managers looking for a refreshing change of environment.
This interesting and varied role will see the post holder leading our enthusiastic and well-organized building control team and playing a key role in ensuring quality services are delivered in an effective, efficient manner. You will ensure all building control activities comply with the Operational Standards Rules. This is a hands-on role overseeing both residential and commercial projects on which you will provide expert guidance and support. You will also be responsible for service development, evaluating options, and reporting to our Corporate Management Team and our Elected Members.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of the building regulations and an ability to lead and inspire a team. With a good standard of education, the successful candidate will have enthusiasm and drive to ensure that building safety is at the heart of all we do.
