The role
Our new Management Accountant will be key in supporting the Head of Finance and wider Finance Team, playing a pivotal role in providing support to manage daily operations and month-end activities of the business and to ensure accurate and timely financial reports are delivered to the Senior Management team.
Their primary role is to manage key areas of the financial systems and processes to ensure financial information is timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant accounting requirements and company expectations.
Key Deliverables:
1. Monthly Reporting;
2. End-to-end ownership and accountability for the month end process with preparation of full suite of monthly financial Reports inclusive of P&L, Balance sheet, CashFlow and Control accounts. Full Summary of Analysis of Assets under management and customer profiles is also required within Reporting Pack.
3. Ability to present Month End performance to Senior Leadership Team.
4. Initiate and support the development of new processes to ensure financial performance is relayed efficiently and succinctly to the wider business.
5. Timely submission statements to Group Reporting Team.
6. Accounts Management
7. Lead Accounts Assistant and review transactional entries.
8. Reconcile and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
9. Ensure appropriate accounting treatment of journal entry and summary each month end inclusive of Accurals, Intercompany, Tax and payroll journals.
10. Preparation of accounting data for timely FCA regulatory submissions.
11. VAT & Payroll
12. Quarterly preparation of VAT returns.
13. Work closely with Employee Experience team throughout each month to prepare and execute payroll each month.
14. Complete monthly payroll reconciliation and post journals, maintaining HMRC compliance and advising on P11d impact/rules.
15. Reconcile and populate total headcount per department and report to Head of Finance to highlight variances to forecast. Report variances to Finance Business partner to ensure planned recruitment is captured in forecast.
16. Payments
17. Review of payments to both Suppliers and Customers and regular liaison with the Customer Care Team to resolve queries from clients on a timely basis.
18. External Audit reporting
19. Facilitating the external audit process by addressing auditor queries and providing necessary information.
20. Ad hoc
21. Finance projects, including expense reporting, tax matters (including R&D tax submissions) any other ad-hoc reporting requirements.

22. Financial or Management Accountant with experience in managing the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reporting.
23. Fully qualified (ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA/ACA)
24. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deliverables.
25. Proactive stakeholder management skills
26. Highly numerate and good commercial knowledge/awareness
27. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
28. Prioritisation capabilities against concurrent deadlines

31. Excellent systems skills, Wealthify systems; (PowerBi, Excel, Anaplan, Sage)
32. Payroll experience, ideally within Xero.
