Environmental Health Practitioner – Food Hygiene & Standards needed in Carmarthen, £19.66ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1480312
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high quality Environmental Health Services as part of a team of officers, ensuring the implementation of policies, practices and procedures relating to Environmental Health Services/Housing functions.
2. Personal management of an Environmental Health Services work plan, to secure efficient performance of duties and working flexibly between sections and teams.
3. Comply with all financial procedures and policies to ensure that financial probity is maintained.
4. Maintain an up-to-date, in-depth knowledge and application of the legislation, procedures and technical aspects relating to Public Protection/Housing functions.
5. Prepare reports when required, take corrective action when necessary and respond to changing needs.
6. Assist in consultative processes that maintain effective communication and liaison with other teams, divisions, departments, Elected Members and other client groups.
7. Assist in the development of procedures and protocols to ensure the continued delivery of a consistent and efficient Housing and Public Protection, Environmental Protection Service.
8. To undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Director, Head of Service or Food Safety and Health Lead.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
