We are recruiting a Process Technologist (Process Engineer) based in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, UK
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Process Development Manager, you will support the business growth and sustainability through industrialisation of new products after concept; working with the improvements and innovation teams, to lead continuous improvement initiatives in the process / operations area ensuring adherence to customer specification, Food Safety, Health and Safety, Quality and business KPI’s.
Key responsibilities will include:
You will support the Process Development Manager with the industrialization of a range of sweet and savoury products through production launch; ensuring that product consistency is achieved in accordance with equipment capability and product specification throughout the entire process: Skills, Trial, Testing and Full Production stages. You will be involved in the continuous improvement activities within process, and with the training and development of production team members. Your duties will also include, data collection, analysis, and measuring yields ensuring all aspects of quality, safety and customer expectations are complied.
About you:
You will have experience of working within a similar role in food manufacturing, specifically Biscuits or Bakery will be advantageous.
You will be qualified in food science, food engineering/chemical engineering, or food technology with knowledge of Food Hygiene, HACCP and BRCGS.
Proven knowledge of factory processes Food legislation, and line trials for UK retailers and B2B clients is essential. NPD process knowledge and Nutritional Analysis is desirable.

* problem solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment with a customer focussed approach
* well organised with influencing skills – shows initiative; is self-motivated, assertive, and tenacious
* proven interpersonal, verbal and written, communication skills
* good working knowledge of Microsoft office
* SAP knowledge is a bonus
