Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Nottingham, Clipston
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 per annum
Shifts: 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Sleep-ins required.
Qualifications: Must hold or be willing to achieve an NVQ Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a childcare setting, experience with child protection procedures, and residential childcare.
Requirements: UK Driving Licence. Immediate start.
About the Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of children aged 7 to 17 in a new home designed for Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD). You will work shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with sleep-ins required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care to children and young people.
* Develop secure, caring relationships with children.
* Implement admission protocols and care plans.
* Fulfil health, education, and training needs of children.
* Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely completion of reports.
* Serve as a key worker and role model.
* Maintain the physical security of the home.
* Collaborate with professionals to support children’s needs and advocate for their rights.
