An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Works Supervisor to join our well-established and reputable company working in the Southeast region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold electrical qualifications such as NVQ level 3 and City & Guilds part 1&2 including 2391 and ECS.
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for people and a keen eye for influencing and driving positive behaviours to join our team. The purpose of this role is to oversee the implementation and delivery of domestic and commercial electrical works and small project scale project work including quotes and tendering, procurement, health and safety, aftercare and successful delivery of all electrical works.
You will be responsible for all work streams including NICEIC quality supervision, reactive works, testing, and remedial programmes. You will support the direct line management of the electricians to design, implement and deliver a professional process to enhance the quality of the field operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Undertake the role of Quality Supervisor and liaise directly with the NICEIC, with responsibility for the monitoring of certification and compliance with all necessary regulations.
* To always ensure that the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly and consistently on the appropriate certificates or reports.
* Support the learning and growth of a team of high-performing qualified engineers and trainee electricians.
* Ensuring Customer Service excellence including customer satisfaction, first time fix, snag as you go, productivity, post inspection pass rates and financial measures are always achieved.
* Conducting regular job audits to ensure compliance within company standards and common goals are always met.
* Monitoring staff attendance and productivity on the job including site visits and technical support.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and identifying areas of improvements.
* Support the Operations Manager and Project Manager in undertaking regular 1-2-1 meetings with team members and holding team meetings to foster a professional, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
* Work with the Company to ensure laid-down standards of quality are always maintained.
* Always represent the Company in a professional manner and develop a good working relationship with client and colleagues.
* Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site Health and Safety.
Qualifications:
* City and Guilds 2382- 18th Edition of the wiring regulations,
* City and Guilds 2360- Parts 1 and 2, NVQ3 or equivalent City and Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Testing and Inspection
* Gold Card
Job Requirements
* A full clean driving license is required.
* IT skills including good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
* A strong knowledge of the domestic and commercial industry and site operations including working knowledge of statutory legislation regarding health and safety and the need for rigorous risk assessment and method statement processes.
* Essential knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
* Will need to be able to understand building services including design principles, method statements, inspection test plans, risk assessments, commissioning, and handover requirements.
* Exceptional communication skills ensuring compliance and high standards of work through effective communication with colleagues and residents.
