East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service is an award-winning community charity helping people who find sick, injured, orphaned, and trapped wildlife. The charity operates a small fleet of veterinary ambulances which brings casualties to its Casualty Centre, capable of holding up to 450 casualties at any one time.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Veterinary Surgeon at East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) located in Whitesmith. The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for performing surgeries, diagnosing and treating wildlife injuries and illnesses, providing medical care, and collaborating with other wildlife professionals to ensure the well-being of animals.
21 hours a week over 3 days. Starting April working for 6 months. There is the potential for further work and increase in hours as well as a permanent role if the person fits well with our team.

Qualifications
1. Surgery, Diagnosis, and Treatment skills
2. Animal Care and Medical Care skills
3. Collaboration and Communication skills
4. Ideally Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue experience
5. Knowledge of wildlife conservation and environmental issues
6. Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
7. Valid veterinary license for practice in the UK.
