Major Recruitment seeks an experienced Machinist / Fitter to join our small business on a permanent basis. Salary: £16-£19 per hour, competitive and flexible based on experience Working Hours: Full-time: Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:00, Friday 07:30 - 13:00 (early finish) Part-time: 2/3 days a week Permanent, Full-time or Part-time Key Responsibilities: Manufacture components for diverse machinery and equipment using technical drawings. Execute turning, milling, and grinding operations. Assist in assembling sub-assemblies and completed machines. Participate in R&D projects and potentially install machinery at client sites. Conduct service and repair tasks as needed. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a workshop setting. Skilled in manual and CNC machining (turning, milling, grinding). Proficient in interpreting schematics and technical drawings. Strong skills in time management, planning, and prioritization. Self-driven, professional, and capable of working independently and collaboratively. Desirable Skills: Experience with CNC and manual milling machines. Welding, fabrication, or electrical expertise.
