SCADA Technician (Data collation)

Key Responsibilities:
Validate the Current Asset Register: Conduct thorough audits and validations of the existing SCADA asset register to ensure all equipment is accounted for and accurately recorded.
Document and Record Findings: Maintain comprehensive documentation of findings, including asset status, issues, and areas for improvement. Ensure that all data is accurately recorded for future reference.
Support Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to ongoing improvement projects by identifying areas of enhancement, offering solutions, and ensuring that SCADA systems operate at peak efficiency.
Collaborate with Multi-Discipline Teams: Work closely with engineers, IT specialists, and other technical teams to address issues, improve processes, and implement system upgrades.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all SCADA activities comply with industry regulations, best practices, and company policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
* HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field.
* Familiarity with SCADA software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, Siemens).
* Experience in asset management software and data recording tools.
* Understanding of SCADA system cybersecurity and data protection best practices.
* Industry Experience: Experience in sectors like manufacturing, automotive, energy, or aviation is valuable.
* GWO qualifications to work offshore on offshore substations and Wind Turbine generators.

* Technical Proficiency in Computers: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and documentation. Familiarity with SAP for asset management and operational workflows.
