The Team & Role
We are looking for a Director, Sales Development to manage and oversee a global team of an SDR manager and SDRs with the goal to standardise, simplify, and scale pipeline creation through inbound qualification and outbound prospecting. This role is responsible for our global outbound prospecting strategy and the overall SDR team results.
Our Sales Development team is responsible for generating pipelines through inbound and outbound outreach, partnering closely with our Marketing and Sales organisations to engage, qualify, and close business. The Sales Development function is part of a rapidly growing business and the right candidate will be someone that understands how to apply the best practices of the most successful and innovative inbound and outbound teams to our business.
What You’ll Do
* Lead a global team of SDR managers and SDRs to achieve and exceed monthly qualified opportunity goals for inbound qualification and outbound prospecting teams for new acquisition and existing business.
* Exceed business targets defined for the region, including SQLs, Pipeline, and Net New ARR.
* Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to optimise pipeline and revenue creation.
* Partner with operations to build infrastructure and forecast modelling to determine targets, quota, compensation, and capacity planning to overachieve monthly targets.
* Develop daily/weekly key performance metrics and dashboards that help the SDR focus on maximising performance.
* Provide detailed analysis and reporting/insights on team's performance as well as accurate forecasts based on SDR performance and historical trends.
* Drive performance management, including hiring, developing and coaching a high performing team to achieve results; work with our GTM Enablement team to implement training to successfully decrease ramp time and increase productivity.
* Strategically coach the SDR team to consistently drive pipeline creation through targeted outbounding.
* Regularly report on key individual and team metrics to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
* Define, reinforce and measure daily activity metrics (KPI’s).
Who You Are
* 5+ years sales experience with 3+ years experience managing global or regional inbound/outbound qualification teams.
* Strong leadership and influencing skills with demonstrated success of leading high-performing teams in Sales Development or Inside Sales.
* Extensive knowledge of sales development enablement tools, Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, etc.
* Proven ability to coach and drive positive team momentum in a changing sales environment as we grow as a company.
* Passion for prospecting and sales development best practices.
* Results oriented with strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines.
* Track record of collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement programs and process.
* Experience in creating and improving the sales development process, methodology, training, and enablement.
