We’re looking for an enthusiastic Buying Assistant to join our Buying team. We’ll look to you to provide admin support to our Buyers to help them provide our customers with the products they love. This role offers the chance for you to see the results of your hard work every time you step into one of our stores and see our products on the shelves.
As a Buying Assistant you’ll also have the opportunity to grow and develop whilst working closely with our Buyers. This role can offer exposure to the wider Buying Team with the chance to get involved in a wide variety of project work and attend both internal and supplier meetings. What you’ll do
1. Complete administrative tasks to assist our Buyers in managing the implementation of standard and promotional ranging
2. Support with any promotional and systems-related admin or set-up
3. Deal with a range of internal and external queries and disputes; working with suppliers to rectify product costs and financial disputes
4. Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners and become the ‘go-to’ person for any queries
5. Gain a comprehensive understanding of SAP, which you’ll use daily within your role, with support and mentorship from your colleagues
6. Gain a core understanding of commercial operations
This role would suit people who have
7. The ability to organise and prioritise tasks within a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
8. Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
9. The ability to work with data and quickly adapt to using new systems
10. Great communication and team-working skills with the confidence to build successful internal and external relationships
11. An interest in food retail
