Overview of Role
The Continuous Improvement Manager at Abbey View Site, Paragon, is a strategic role responsible for overseeing operational excellence across the entire site, covering both inbound and outbound operations. This position focuses on driving efficiency, streamlining processes, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Operating in a high-volume transactional printing and machine enclosing environment, the role is critical to ensuring productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with evolving client and business objectives.
By taking a holistic view of site operations, the Continuous Improvement Manager will play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of best practices across all areas. This includes working collaboratively with teams in inbound operations—managing materials and workflows entering the site—and outbound operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of finished products to clients.
The role demands a proactive leader with a strategic mindset, a strong background in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, and a passion for fostering collaboration and innovation across departments. Key Responsibilities
Operations
* Lead and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
* Identify operational inefficiencies and develop actionable strategies to address root causes.
* Collaborate with department managers to standardise workflows and best practices across the site.
* Monitor and analyse production KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Client
* Collaborate with account teams to understand client needs and expectations, aligning improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
* Act as a point of contact for client-driven improvement projects, ensuring clear communication and successful outcomes.
People
* Train and mentor staff on continuous improvement tools and techniques to build internal capability.
* Lead workshops and improvement initiatives to encourage team involvement and ownership of processes.
* Foster a positive environment where innovation and constructive feedback are encouraged.
Finance
* Analyse operational costs and recommend initiatives to improve profitability.
* Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by identifying potential efficiency gains.
* Maintain accurate records of improvement activities and their financial impact for reporting and audits.

Experience / Skills Required

* Operational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of transactional printing and machine enclosing processes.
* Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-based decisions.

* Project Management: Skilled in planning, executing, and delivering improvement projects on time and within budget.

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 per year, dependent on experience.
Working hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30 (with 1 hour unpaid lunch). Some flexibility will be required at times dependent on business needs.
