Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
* Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
* Utilize effective behavior management strategies and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.
* Support students with various learning challenges, including ASD, ADHD, and other specific needs, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
* Encourage students' confidence, independence, and social skills through positive reinforcement and structured guidance.
* Regularly monitor and report on student progress, working closely with staff and parents to ensure open communication and support.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of 6 months as an SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary school setting.
* Level 2 or 3 TA qualification or equivalent; additional SEN training is a plus.
* Strong understanding of SEN strategies and behavior management; patient, empathetic, and adaptable in meeting diverse learning needs.
* Passionate about helping every child reach their full potential, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to supporting the whole school community.
