An opportunity has arisen for a Connected Car Validation Engineer to support our global automotive client, based in Bedfordshire, in their vision to deliver the most distinct and innovative range of road vehicles, all equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The role is for an ongoing contract.
As part of the Vehicle Validation team, you will be responsible for validating the connected car systems End to End, from application to Vehicle, against specifications and regulatory requirements.
The successful Connected Car Validation Engineer will be responsible for:
• System validation for connected cars within the on-board and off-board environment
• Develop testing methods and procedures to ensure robust validation of the complete telematics systems
• Confirm vehicle quality, function and reliability standards are maintained by the changes
• Conduct Root cause investigations
Background and experience required for the role of Connected Car Validation Engineer:
• Ideally Degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience in automotive electrical and electronic development relating to vehicle body electronics, navigation or telematics systems
• Excellent awareness of Connected car system on-board and off-board
• Background in test execution using tools or connecting real hardware and software
• Experience using JIRA / Confluence, VSTS and SNOW ticketing system
A valid UK / European driving licence is essential, with the ability to travel abroad, sometimes at short notice.
