Flexi-Cover Teaching Assistant
Protocol Education are working with schools in the Bristol area to appoint committed, flexible Teaching Assistants to become a vital part of our support team. This role will suit someone who is looking to gain experience within different education settings and with children of different ages on a schedule that fits around them. You will have your own online diary which you will update so that we can get you work on any days you want it.
The Role:
1. As a flexi-cover teaching assistant you will work across schools and year groups as and when needed, covering/supporting due to staff absence, extra staff needed or intervention support.
2. Support and manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they undertake their work, ensuring a constructive and positive environment is always enforced.
3. De-escalate situations within the classroom in the correct way, certifying safeguarding procedures are always adhered to.
4. Work 1:1 as in-class support or in small groups and 1:1 with SEND children for short periods of time where required.
5. Report any safeguarding concerns using the school’s referral procedures and safeguarding policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
