Salary: £24,834 to £26,534 per annum (based on 35hrs and term time only)

The Role:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional with significant experience of the challenges faced by children and young people, to work collaboratively with families and Schools in preventing permanent exclusions, ensuring that all young people can access education, leading to improved overall outcomes.
The Education Engagement Officer (Inclusion) will play a crucial role within the Education Engagement Team, working to support educational outcomes for our children and young people who are deemed ‘at risk’ of exclusion. Working closely with Schools, alternative providers, families, and partner agencies, you will identify barriers to learning and support families to overcome these.
The postholder will be required to work collaboratively with external agencies to promote effective practice and show a commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children and young people as a priority.
This post will involve offering support and guidance to families and Schools and will be central to the Local Authority fulfilling their statutory duties around permanent exclusions, ensuring that all children are receiving the education to which they are entitled.
