We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer. Reporting to the Hardware Manager, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in the field of electronics, product design and development. Your role will be influential across the entire product lifecycle and you will work on improving and supporting our existing products and developing the next generation of cutting-edge high precision radar solutions.

Locations:
We have 2 work locations in South Oxfordshire – One at our Grove facility which is located in a new building on the recently developed Grove Business Park, and one in Ardington less than 10 minutes away within an easy commute from areas of Reading, Swindon, Newbury and Oxford.
Key Accountabilities:
* Capture requirements and specifications from Product managers, internal customers and external customers and suppliers.
* Responsible for design quality to meet functionality in line with design guidelines for PCB tracks or grounding.
* Electronics development cycle including schematic capture, simulation, PCB design and layout.
* CAD library management.
* FPGA/VHDL development.
* Regulatory testing including Radio, EMC compliance and electrical safety testing.
* Field testing including planning, organising and executing.
* Provide technical support to Production Engineering as required, including support for individual unit failures, either from the production line or with customer returns.
* Support the Hardware Manager with planning and prioritising within the team.
What are we looking for?
* Capability to lead technical projects.
* Great level of attention to detail.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* A thorough and methodological approach to work.
* Expertise in high speed digital design is essential.
* Electronic or related degree with a strong track record of design, development and verification.
* Minimum 5 years industrial experience.
* Experience of environmental testing.
* Experience of using Siemens (Mentor) PADS would be ideal although not essential.
